With Völker Sensify assistance systems, you always know whether and which of your residents or patients are in need of help.

  • You know that no one has been out of their beds longer than necessary.
  • You know that no one is lost in a dark room.
  • You know that no one has opened their door and left the room.

How do Völker Sensify assistance systems help?

Bed alarm

Is everyone in their beds, has someone fallen out and is now lying helpless on the floor? The Völker Sensify bed sensors report unoccupied beds if the occupant does not return to bed within a predefined period of time. This prevents false alarms, for example those that could be caused by a short trip to the toilet. When nursing staff is caring for the occupant, they can simply deactivate the alarm with a switch located at the room’s doorway. Three different deactivation time periods can be set, according to the tasks to be completed. Simply stick in place and you’re done.

Light switch

Light shows us where we are and provides us with security, which is why it is a key aspect of our assistance systems. Völker Sensify offers two fundamental functions. The first is automatic sensor control. The bed sensors or the motion sensor under the bed switch the light on. When the occupant returns to bed, the sensors switch the light off again. And second, wireless switches that can be fitted anywhere in the room. Even on the bed itself – simply stick them in place and you’re done. Either system can turn any light source on or off – even a favourite lamp the patient or resident has brought from home.

Emergency call button

Critical situations occur without warning, and are often insurmountable obstacles for those in need of help. Fit the wireless and intuitive emergency call buttons in easily accessible locations:

  • Right beside the bed
  • Next to the toilet in the bathroom
  • Near the floor
  • On balconies accessible from the room
  • Anywhere

Simply stick in place and you’re done. Multiple Völker Sensify emergency call buttons can be connected in each residential unit. When an emergency call button is pressed, the alarm is sent via your in-house call system.

Absconding/wandering prevention

Völker Sensify also offers solutions for other areas besides the immediate vicinity of beds. Have occupants opened doors? Is immediate action needed to identify potential risks in good time? Wireless sensors that can be fitted anywhere on door frames, which notify you via your in-house call system, help you answer these questions reliably. A switch at the entrance to the room lets nursing staff simply deactivate this function when it is not required, reliably preventing false alarms. Simply stick in place and you’re done.

Signalling components

Sensify bed sensor

The basis for the bed alarm and automatic light switching functions. The Sensify bed sensor is designed for Völker bed frames and can be installed in less than five minutes.

Operating principle:
powerless (piezoelectric) and wireless (radio-based).

Sets:
Set of 3 for a bodyweight of 50-235 kg
Set of 5 for a bodyweight of 40-235 kg

Deactivation switch

Overrides all signals to the in-house call system programmed via the radio receiver for one of three pre-configured time periods. Installation near a door is recommended.

Operating principle:
powerless (piezoelectric) and wireless (radio-based).

Attachment:
self-adhesive (included)

Deactivation period:
15 min / 30 min / 60 min

Sensify radio receiver

The heart of the alarm system. The receiver trains, groups and controls all components in the system. Messages sent to the in-house call system also pass through the receiver.

Working principle:
can be programmed to operating or standby current.

Sensify emergency call button

Extra-large and robust button, can be positioned anywhere. Registered and connected to the in-house call system via the radio receiver.

Operating principle:
powerless (piezoelectric) and wireless (radio-based).

Attachment:
self-adhesive (included)

Maximum quantity:
up to 8 per receiver

Sensify door sensor

Easy-to-attach sensor for indoor and (protected) outdoor areas. Connected to the in-house call system via the receiver.

Operating principle:
solar, wireless (radio-based).

Attachment:
self-adhesive (included)

Sensify motion sensor

Can be fitted under the bed. When the occupant lifts his or her legs over the edge of the bed, a signal is sent to the in-house call system via the receiver. The power strip can also switch on a light automatically.

Operating principle:
powerless (piezoelectric) and wireless (radio-based).

Attachment:
self-adhesive (included)

Light control components

Besides the staff notification function, Sensify offers light switching solutions for residents, enhancing safety and security in many everyday situations and minimising potential hazards

Sensify light switch

Control light sources connected to the green socket on the Sensify power strip.

Operating principle:
powerless (piezoelectric) and wireless (radio-based).

Attachment:
self-adhesive (included)

Maximum quantity:
up to 8 per radio power strip

Sensify radio power strip

Basic control element for individual lighting using the green socket.

Compatible control units:

  • Sensify bed sensor
  • Sensify light switch
  • Sensify motion sensor

Working principle:
230 V mains voltage.
Powerless radio control (piezoelectric).
